When goals change…

Do you remember when I created my “lifelist”? You may or may not, but as of recently I have NOT done much to cross things off it. In fact, some things in my life since that time have changed so much. Priorities shifted. I think that’s how life goes when you learn more about who you are… and what you really want your life to be about.

So with that, I’m going to be removing my lifelist from the top in the next few days and replacing it with…

101 things to do in the next 1001 days

This officially starts today, June 3, 2010. Some of these items were taken from the lifelist, and obviously (since that was only 30 items long) there has also been many, many additions.

And this is where I need your help. SERIOUSLY.

I only have 56 items right at the moment… and I need 101!!!

Give me ideas… good ones – especially for those of you that know me well (online or off) of things that *I* would be willing to do, that would not compromise my values, would be fun and an experience to share here.

To go with #48, I’d add drink wine in France and have strudel in Germany. Hey, they’re close to one another!

@Amy – Good thoughts!! That’s kind of what I was going for with the Eiffel Tower & Windmill things in France/Netherlands! I’ll be adding Germany! :)

@ Liz – I’ve already seen the Eiffel tower in Vegas (have I ever mentioned that’s my *favorite* hotel on the strip?!?) :) Don’t know about the pet one in the next 1001 days, but those other two I think will be added to the list! I need a reason to grow my hair long!! YAY!

Are you sure you want 101 things? That’s a ‘big’ thing every 10 days for the next three years. You might get Life List burnout.
But if you insist – I would just add going on a vineyard tour. It’s peaceful and interesting and different. Fenn Valley is wonderful, and it’s better than California! OK I haven’t been on a tour in CA, but that’s what the other people on the tour said :)

@Jen – I never thought about it broken down like that. WOW!

And I love the idea of a vineyard tour! Either Fenn Valley or maybe Round Barn would be fun? #WMiBloggers trip maybe? :)

Some of them can be done in one instant, like donating and blood and finding your blood type, or the pacific ocean and swimming with dolphins, two birds one stone like idea

Go to Vegas. Or get married in Vegas (I was married by an Elvis impersonator and it was the best and most memorable thing I have ever done).

GLAD TO FIND YOU THROUGH SITS! I MYSELF AM AN AVID LIST-MAKER (IT’S THE CROSSING THINGS OFF THE LISTS THAT GIVES ME TROUBLE!). NOW YOU’VE GOT ME THINKING–HOW ABOUT:
*COOK AN AUTHENTIC MEAL FROM A FOREIGN COUNTRY ONCE A MONTH? (OR JUST ONCE!)
    *RIDE IN A TROLLEY CAR
*GRAB A RANDOM BOOK OFF OF THE LIBRARY/BOOKSTORE SHELF TO READ
*START A COLLECTION OF ??? (SOMETHING FUN!)
*FRAME A PICTURE YOU’VE TAKEN (WITH YOUR NEW SLR DIGITAL CAMERA?!)
*GROW POTTED HERBS IN YOUR KITCHEN (I’VE BEEN MEANING TO DO THIS…)
*READ A BOOK TO A CHILD

KUDOS TO YOUR SUCCESSFUL WEIGHT LOSS! MAY YOU HAVE FUN ON YOUR LIST JOURNEY, AND MEET MR. RIGHT!
