Well everyone… the day has finally arrived. Today at 4:45p ET, the Dominican Republic mission team will leave for Chicago and tomorrow morning (bright & early) we will be boarding a plane bound for the Dominican Republic (via Miami). I really can’t believe it, just all seems so surreal. But I am excited.
I am excited to get to know my team so much better. I am excited to see a country I’ve never been to. I am excited to take a week out of my “normal” life and dedicate it to serving others. I am excited about what God is going to do through our team. I am excited to see how God is going to change lives. And most of all, I am excited about what God is going to show me through all of this.
This whole experiece thus far has been a true blessing and I can’t begin to thank the people who supported me financially – and everyone who is supporting me and the team in prayer. I woke up this morning feeling so very grateful for both. Without both componants, this trip would not have been possible for myself or my teammates.
In the coming days, please lift up my team in your thoughts and prayers – for both safety and health – while we travel and are at the worksite. Please also pray that God will move hearts and speak to those that need to hear from Him.
When I return (or maybe a couple days after I return), I will be sure to update you all with some pictures from the trip & what we did.
Thanks for your support & prayers!
