The inspiration for this post came from a poll on That’s Fit. If you could ask for anything fitness (or health) wise for Christmas… what would it be? I think my first choice would be a membership to my healthclub. That would give me access to many different machines and classes so that my workouts don’t get tired (no pun intended).
Last Christmas, I would not have been able to imagine that I would have asked for that… for just the fact that I was 75 pounds heavier. I was exercising, but not regularly.
With anyone wanting to lose weight, walking is a good start, but after a while this needs to be changed up. Your body knows what to expect, your muscles continue to use the same amount of calories, the fat on your body doesn’t want to budge. As soon as you change it up, your body reacts… sometimes good & sometimes bad (the soreness could make you cry!) As Nike says… Just do it!
For Christmas this year… I will do a workout on Christmas day. Probably BEFORE I go for lunch at grandma’s house!
